Her Story

About Brittany

Brittany Webb is a licensed life insurance agent contracted with Symmetry Financial, based in Laurinburg, North Carolina, where she helps individuals, families, and business owners build personalized life insurance solutions that safeguard their financial futures. Before stepping into the insurance industry, she spent roughly six years in banking, starting out as a part-time teller and gradually working her way into a full-time role handling loans, accounts, and financial education for customers. Her dedication and leadership eventually earned her a promotion to branch manager, where she was responsible for coaching and developing her team. In between these banking roles, she also spent time as a human resources manager for a local home care agency, further deepening her commitment to supporting and empowering the people around her.

Webb holds a life insurance license, a Certificate in Business Administration from Richmond Community College, and a Human Resources Certification through the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Although she does not hold a traditional college degree, her combination of hands-on banking experience and specialized certifications has equipped her with a well-rounded foundation in financial services and people management. She made the decision to transition into insurance in order to build a business that offers her greater flexibility to be present for her family, particularly her young son, while still pursuing meaningful, purpose-driven work.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Webb is deeply engaged in her community. She is an active member of the Scotland County Young Professionals Network, having served as Vice Chair in 2023 and Chair in 2024, and she sits on the Executive Committee of Scotland County Crime Stoppers, an organization her father helped establish. She also stays involved through her church community. Guided above all by a strong sense of integrity, Webb approaches both her career and personal life with honesty and purpose, and in recognition of her achievements, she has been selected as one of the Influential Women for 2026.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brittany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I credit my success to determination and resilience, along with my faith, which has kept me grounded through every stage of my career transitions.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received is that life isn't always fair, but that doesn't mean I can't take what I've been given and shape it into something meaningful on my own terms.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women entering this field to stay open to learning, never hesitate to ask questions, and always be willing to speak up for themselves.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Right now, I'm focused on building my insurance business from the ground up — balancing carrier-provided leads with the personal relationships I build myself, working toward licensing in additional states, and creating generational wealth through entrepreneurship, all while navigating the responsibilities of being a new parent.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the value I hold above all else, both professionally and personally, and my family remains just as central to everything I do.
