What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the grind. I am probably one of the most positive people you'll ever meet, and I think that helps me get far too, because I never try and dwell on things that aren't going my way. I always think of what the final outcome is that I want. I'm very goal-oriented, so I just keep that in front and center, and I think I'm a solution-focused person, so I'm never taking no for an answer, either. But I also really attribute my success to having an incredible support system. You know, my family, my husband, they're my biggest cheerleaders.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that success is a marathon, not a sprint. Early in my career, working on 100% commission, it was hard to see progress—but by staying focused, learning every day, and trusting the process, I grew. Coming from humble beginnings, I dreamed of financial security, and through persistence and hard work, I achieved milestones I never imagined, including becoming Vice President of Sales in the top market for the leading media company. This taught me that if you can dream it and put in the work, it’s achievable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to never burn bridges—you never know how connections might shape your future. Surround yourself with people who add value to your life: those who are positive, supportive, and experienced. Learn from those who have come before you, adapt their insights, and make them your own. Success comes from continuously learning, growing, and applying the wisdom of others while carving your own path.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
When I first joined iHeart, there were very few women in leadership—practically none—which was a significant challenge. Today, that’s changing, and it’s encouraging to see more women rising in the industry. In terms of opportunities, the media landscape is evolving rapidly. Advertising is highly competitive, but Americans spend a third of their time with audio, which now includes radio, streaming, and podcasts. Aligning with a medium that continues to grow and innovate presents tremendous opportunity. Age or tenure no longer defines success—what matters is impact, creativity, and adaptability.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Dedication is central to both my work and personal life—I work hard to create the life I envision, whether that’s achieving career goals or spending meaningful time with my family. Family is especially important to me; every year, I plan a trip for all 16 of us—parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews—which is only possible through consistent effort. I also value staying true to myself. Confidence, knowing your worth, and presenting authentically are essential, along with grit and a hustler mentality to keep moving forward.
