Ten minutes with Brittney

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my family, my education, and my colleagues. These three pillars have been instrumental in helping me reach where I am today in my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is don't wait for permission to be innovative. Throughout my career, I've learned that it's important to take the lead, pitching new ideas, and not hold back waiting for someone to give you the green light. Being proactive and innovative has been crucial to my growth and success.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the IT field is don't shrink yourself to fit in. In a male-dominated industry, your authenticity is your greatest asset. Keep that authenticity, stay true to yourself and stay innovative. You don't need to change who you are to succeed in this industry.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There are a lot of challenges in my field right now, specifically the constant shift in technology. It's ever-changing, and we have a huge AI shift currently happening. The biggest challenge is staying up to date with those changes and trends, and keeping yourself relevant and current. That's not only a challenge - it's also an opportunity. It creates a landscape where we can constantly find innovative ways to add value for our clients.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are growth, authenticity, and accountability. I believe in constantly evolving both professionally and personally, showing up as my true self in every environment, protecting my healthy work-life balance to ensure I give my best to both my career and my family.
