Brittney Blue is an accountant with a decade of experience in the finance industry. She earned her bachelor's degree in business and her bachelor's degree in accounting from Cooling University. In her role, Brittney oversees associates, reviews and approves balancing reports, completes month-end reports, and performs financial analysis to help companies reach their goals. She is passionate about helping people financially and enjoys working with numbers and overseeing operations. Brittney credits her success to her own determination, focus, and desire to succeed. She notes that the field is male-dominated, requiring extra effort, but emphasizes that success is achievable. Brittney values balancing work and personal life, time management, and prioritizing mental health. Her advice to others includes staying dedicated, focused, studying hard, and enjoying the work while being passionate about helping people.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would credit it to myself, honestly. Myself, and just being determined and being focused, and you know, want to be successful.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Stay dedicated, stay focused, and enjoy what you do. Enjoy what you do, and be passionate about helping people.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Study hard. Definitely prioritize your personal life as well because accounting can be basically of your time. Definitely work hard, stay focused, stay determined, and just enjoy what you do.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
It's definitely male dominated. So, it's definitely you have to kind of feel like you have to work a little bit harder. But it's not something that can't be done.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Balancing both work and personal life, and just being able to time manage both. And also be able to prioritize mental health as well because work can be an overload. And just stay respectful of others as well as yourself. Making sure you balance both and definitely make your mental health a priority.
