Her Interview
Ten minutes with Brittney
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, hard work, and passion. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance has also been essential, allowing me to stay present for my family while still giving my full dedication to my athletes.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to fake it until you make it. To me, that means believing in my ability to grow even when I don't have all the answers yet, stepping outside my comfort zone, and pushing through challenges with confidence.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this field to believe in themselves and work hard. Never stop learning, don't be afraid to ask questions, and seek out other women as mentors. Building strong relationships and staying professional will help establish trust and credibility.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that it remains somewhat male-dominated, particularly in men's sports, which means women often have to put in extra effort to earn trust and establish credibility. At the same time, I see this as an opportunity for growth. Another shift in our field is the transition from an undergraduate to a master's degree requirement for entry into the profession.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are faith, hard work, and passion. My faith keeps me grounded and gives me a sense of purpose, hard work helps me stay consistent and push through challenges, and passion keeps me motivated to keep learning and improving in everything I do.
