Brittney Schuessler is a soul-led leader, founder, and author whose work sits at the intersection of healing, education, and purposeful leadership. She is the Founder and CEO of Solterra Schools, a growing network of therapeutic schools designed to support neurodivergent learners through integrative education, therapeutic care, and whole-child development. Grounded in integrity, presence, and aligned leadership, Brittney is committed to building systems where individuals and communities can feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.

With a background spanning healthcare leadership, education, project management, and organizational strategy, Brittney brings a rare blend of operational rigor and intuitive insight to her work. Her career includes executive and regional leadership roles overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets, large cross-functional teams, and complex organizational change, as well as founding YOGA by Brittney, where she integrated movement, regulation, and mindfulness into community and special-needs settings. Across every role, her leadership philosophy centers on regulation before reasoning, sustainable growth, and creating environments where humans—not just metrics—are prioritized.

Brittney is currently writing Soul-Led Leadership (forthcoming), a book exploring embodied authority, alignment, and leading from truth during seasons of growth and transformation. Through her writing, speaking, and lived leadership, she invites founders, educators, and change-makers to build institutions and lives that reflect who they truly are—with courage, coherence, and purpose.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, authenticity, and a deep commitment to serving vulnerable communities. Growing up in rural foster care shaped my empathy and continues to drive my work to build inclusive systems where children and families can truly thrive.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my executive coach, who helped me build clarity and confidence by reminding me to trust my intuition, create structure, and lead forward even when self-doubt shows up.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to act boldly and stay rooted in your “why”—lead with conviction, and remember that every challenge is an opportunity to build courage, clarity, and growth.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see one of the biggest challenges as providing specialized education for neurodivergent children while keeping it accessible and sustainable, but I also see tremendous opportunity in therapeutic education models that prioritize emotional intelligence, individualized learning, and values-driven leadership.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and truth guide everything I do, and I believe leadership starts with self-awareness, authenticity, and compassion. In both my work and personal life, I’m committed to helping others—whether that’s building ethical, transparent systems or advocating for those, including children and animals, whose voices are often overlooked.
