Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brittney

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to embracing change, staying curious, and having the confidence to pursue opportunities even before I feel completely ready. My career has been shaped by continuous learning, authentic leadership, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact through marketing, technology, and storytelling. After earning my degree in Web and Digital Media Design, I began my professional journey with a small construction company that has since grown into a major force in the industry, where I helped build the company’s marketing foundation and develop strategies that strengthened its brand presence and supported business growth. That experience taught me the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and the value of building something from the ground up. Over the past five years, I have continued to grow within the technology industry at GoFormz, progressing from Digital Marketing Manager to Director of Product and Content Marketing following the company’s restructuring in 2026, where I focus on creating impactful messaging, strengthening brand strategy, and delivering content that helps businesses solve real-world challenges. Leadership has been a defining part of my life both personally and professionally. As a Division I soccer player at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, a Team USA indoor soccer player, and a professional athlete with the San Diego Sockers, I developed the discipline, resilience, teamwork, and perseverance that continue to guide me today. My passion for leadership began at an early age when I started a soccer nonprofit at 14, and coaching athletes throughout my journey has reinforced my belief that true success is not only measured by personal achievements but also by the ability to inspire, mentor, and create opportunities for others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to think bigger, lead with intention, and embrace opportunities for growth with confidence. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to learn from mentors who have challenged me to expand my perspective and develop as a leader. Sydney Sloan, former CMO of G2, was especially instrumental in helping me navigate the transition from a senior-level role into a director position, providing valuable guidance, leadership insight, and continuous support. Her mentorship reinforced the importance of staying authentic, building strong relationships, and approaching leadership with purpose. I strive to carry those lessons forward by offering the same encouragement, support, and guidance to others as they grow in their own careers.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the marketing, technology, or leadership fields is to be intentional, remain curious, and stay true to who you are. Seek out mentors who inspire and challenge you, continue learning, and do not be afraid to ask questions, take calculated risks, and step outside of your comfort zone. Authenticity is one of your greatest strengths, and people will recognize the values, passion, and integrity you bring through your actions. When you lead with purpose and stay aligned with your values, you will build trust, create meaningful connections, and continue to grow both personally and professionally.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunity and challenge in marketing today is the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence. AI is transforming the way we create, analyze, and deliver content, providing opportunities for marketing professionals to work more efficiently and strategically. However, it is important to view AI as a tool that enhances creativity rather than replaces the human connection and authentic storytelling that drive meaningful engagement. Successfully navigating this changing landscape requires adaptability, continuous learning, and thoughtful leadership. I strive to embrace innovation while ensuring that creativity, authenticity, and the human perspective remain at the center of everything we do.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are leadership, inclusion, integrity, and making a positive impact on others. Throughout my life, I have been committed to coaching and mentoring, beginning at the age of fourteen when I started working with young athletes to help them build confidence, resilience, and teamwork. I also helped launch a nationally recognized TOPSoccer program, creating opportunities for children with special needs to experience the joy, connection, and personal growth that sports can provide. These experiences have shaped my belief that true leadership is not defined by a title or position, but by the ability to support, inspire, and empower others. Whether in my professional career or personal endeavors, I strive to lead with purpose, authenticity, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
