About Britton

Britton Kent serves as CEO and Designer for Aqua Armor Swim, a company she founded two years ago specializing in children's swimwear with an emphasis on water safety. She balances this with a corporate nine-to-five position in IT modernization and process improvement that she has held for seven years. She is a member of Kappa Delta, having started at Ulan University. Kent attributes her success to her support system and passion for the mission, and she values honesty, integrity, and genuine care that every person matters. She is currently attending a fashion show in New York to gain experience in the industry.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my support system and the passion behind the mission.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

If you love what you do, you never truly work a day in your life. And it's okay to ask for help.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take the leap of faith. And I would also say, find someone who believes in you as much as you believe in your mission and what you want to accomplish, because having someone there is gonna make such a measurable impact.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Really just balancing it all with the 9-to-5 job, and we are self-funding, so making sure to make the right decisions not based on any sort of financial advantage.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty. Integrity. And I would say, genuine care that every person matters.
