Brooke Bryant is a healthcare business professional and Associate Director at Guidehouse, with nearly a decade of experience supporting growth and strategy in the commercial healthcare space. Since graduating from the University of Alabama in 2015 with a focus in Healthcare Management and Human Resource Strategy, she has built her career at the intersection of healthcare operations and business development. She began at Brookwood Baptist Health System in Birmingham, where she progressed from human resources into contracts, working closely with hospital CEOs and CFOs on physician negotiations. That early exposure to leadership and decision-making shaped her path and ultimately led her to Guidehouse, where she has spent the majority of her career supporting complex sales and proposal efforts behind the scenes.

At Guidehouse, Brooke plays a critical role in helping the firm win business, operating as part of a high-performing team that manages the strategy, coordination, and execution of healthcare proposals. Recently promoted to Associate Director, she now leads a team of four and oversees fast-paced, deadline-driven work that directly contributes to the firm’s success. Known for her collaborative mindset, Brooke describes her leadership style as laid-back, open, and approachable. She prioritizes trust, flexibility, and clear communication, striving to create an environment where her team feels supported and empowered. More than any title, she is most proud of the leader she has become and the strong, honest relationships she has built with her team.

Outside of her professional life, Brooke is passionate about personal growth, wellness, and meaningful experiences. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Auburn University while balancing a full-time leadership role. An avid runner and yoga enthusiast, she is preparing to run the Berlin Marathon in September 2026 to raise funds for the World Cancer Society. She also values time with friends and family, always seeking opportunities to create lasting memories. Grounded in empathy and driven by purpose, Brooke continues to grow both personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I owe so much of my success to the support of my family and friends, there’s no question about that. They’ve been my foundation through everything, and I truly don’t think I’d be where I am without them. I’ve also been incredibly fortunate in my professional journey. Even though I’ve only had a couple of roles so far, I’ve had the chance to work under genuinely great leaders. Their guidance and example have shaped me more than I probably realize, and that kind of support makes a lasting difference.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Tomorrow is a new day. This is something I have to and need to remind myself of often. It’s so easy, especially in the world we’re in now, to feel like everything is urgent and high stakes. But sometimes you just have to pause, take a breath, and put things in perspective. In the grand scheme of things, most of it will be okay. There are always going to be ups and downs, good days and tough ones, and that’s just part of any career. For me, it’s about stepping back, resetting, and trusting that things will work themselves out.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I’d say "just go for it"

At the end of the day, my mindset has always been: what’s the worst that can happen? Someone says no. And if that’s the case, at least you asked.

It can definitely feel intimidating, especially in a male-dominated industry and in roles where you’re working with senior leaders and partners. I’ve felt that too. But it’s so important to know your worth and trust in the skills and perspective you bring to the table. If you believe in yourself and take the chance, you’re already further ahead than you think.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I’d say one of the biggest challenges is staying on top of the industry trends and keeping up with how quickly everything is evolving, especially with AI. It’s something we’re all still figuring out, and it’s been a big focus for me over the past couple of years, both personally and professionally.

In consulting, there’s also a lot of turnovers, so learning to adapt to constant change is part of the job. Teams shift, priorities change, and nothing really stays the same for long. After being here for eight years, I can honestly say no two years have looked alike. So, for me, the challenge and the goal is staying flexible, continuing to learn, and keeping up with whatever comes next.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I’d say empathy and compassion are at the top of the list for me, along with a strong sense of dedication. Those are the things that really guide how I show up every day.

Not necessarily a value, but organization plays a big role for me, even if it doesn’t always come naturally. That’s where my lists come in. I rely on them heavily, and there’s something incredibly satisfying about checking a box and crossing something off. It helps keep me grounded and on track.
