Brooke Bryant is a healthcare business professional and Associate Director at Guidehouse, with nearly a decade of experience supporting growth and strategy in the commercial healthcare space. Since graduating from the University of Alabama in 2015 with a focus in Healthcare Management and Human Resource Strategy, she has built her career at the intersection of healthcare operations and business development. She began at Brookwood Baptist Health System in Birmingham, where she progressed from human resources into contracts, working closely with hospital CEOs and CFOs on physician negotiations. That early exposure to leadership and decision-making shaped her path and ultimately led her to Guidehouse, where she has spent the majority of her career supporting complex sales and proposal efforts behind the scenes.

At Guidehouse, Brooke plays a critical role in helping the firm win business, operating as part of a high-performing team that manages the strategy, coordination, and execution of healthcare proposals. Recently promoted to Associate Director, she now leads a team of four and oversees fast-paced, deadline-driven work that directly contributes to the firm’s success. Known for her collaborative mindset, Brooke describes her leadership style as laid-back, open, and approachable. She prioritizes trust, flexibility, and clear communication, striving to create an environment where her team feels supported and empowered. More than any title, she is most proud of the leader she has become and the strong, honest relationships she has built with her team.

Outside of her professional life, Brooke is passionate about personal growth, wellness, and meaningful experiences. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Auburn University while balancing a full-time leadership role. An avid runner and yoga enthusiast, she is preparing to run the Berlin Marathon in September 2026 to raise funds for the World Cancer Society. She also values time with friends and family, always seeking opportunities to create lasting memories. Grounded in empathy and driven by purpose, Brooke continues to grow both personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support of my family and friends, that's for sure. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to do anything in my life. It wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for my family and friends. I also have to say that all the previous bosses I've had have contributed to my success. I really haven't had that many jobs in my professional career, just this one and one previous one, and somehow I feel like I've just gotten so lucky with amazing leaders. That really does go a long way.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

That tomorrow's a new day. Shake it off, especially in the world that we're in. I think everything's an emergency these days, and I just take a step back, take a breath. We're not doctors, so we're not trying to save someone's lives, right? In the grand scheme of things, this is not, you know, it will be okay. Tomorrow's a new day. You'll definitely have ups and downs in your career, that's for sure, and good days and bad days, so I think it's just a mentality to take a step back and just see that it's gonna be okay, especially in the corporate world.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I'd say just go for it. I think that at the end of the day, my motto is the worst that can happen is someone can say no, you know? So why not just ask? Why not go for it? Especially in a very male-dominated industry, I think it could be intimidating, and especially the career that I'm in now, I work with a lot of top partners of firms and everything, and I think that can be very intimidating. But know what you're worth, and know that you have the skills and abilities to do it. I think everyone can achieve whatever they put their mind to.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I'd say staying on top of the industry trends, you know, keeping up with all the AI and everything. That's been a big challenge that we're also trying to figure out in our work. My goals and objectives last year and this year have been to get better with AI. Also, in the consulting world, turnover is really high, and so getting used to that is a challenge. I think it's just always changing. It's the corporate world. The world's always changing. I've been here for 8 years, and nothing has been the same each year, so just always keeping up with the changes, really.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I'd say empathy and compassion are number one. And then just dedication. And honestly, organization, which I struggle with, and making lists. I know that's not values, but lists. I'm all about lists. I get such satisfaction over checking that box and crossing it off the list.
