Brooke Carson serves as Director overseeing Wellstar operations across multiple sites, including facilities in the state of Ohio. She manages acquisition, recruitment, and credentialing processes for hospitals while handling meetings, training, onboarding, and facilitating staffing needs. Carson began her career as a recruiter assistant and progressed through recruitment, talent acquisition consulting, and account management roles before reaching her current position. She has been in the healthcare field for ten years. She earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in healthcare information from the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2017. Outside her professional duties, she volunteers with the Red Cross for seven years and provides free resume assistance at unemployment offices and on weekends, and she is also involved with Healing Hands of Charlotte, North Carolina.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't care what people have to say about anything. Just focus on the job at hand.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't wait until you're my age to start taking it serious, actually step in, foot first. You don't have to start from the bottom, you can start from an account manager if you don't want to do recruitment. The job is hard, it's gonna be days that you, you know, you if you think you're gonna be working from 8 to 5, then it's not the job for you.
