Her Interview
Ten minutes with Brooke
01What do you attribute your success to?
My husband is incredibly supportive and encouraging. Our family has been incredibly supportive. I've had great mentors. If you know how to sell, you can be successful. Our faith is very important to us as well.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You don't have to be a jerk to be good at sales. Wake up, say a prayer, and hustle. 90% is showing up. Have a heart of curiosity and service.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You need to start talking to people. You can't just market your way to your goals. Make revenue-generating activities a non-negotiable every day. Give yourself grace because there are a lot of things that can pull at you like kids or family.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenge: Only 3% of the population trusts sales professionals and 5% for marketers, so the bar is low and reputation is poor. Opportunity: Huge chance to be different by having authentic sales conversations and standing out from competitors.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is really important. Focus on what the client needs rather than your own time frame. Hard work - things don't happen by chance, you need to work hard and be ready when opportunity presents itself.
