Brooke earned her master's degree from Walden University after completing her undergraduate studies at North Carolina A&T University and coursework at a community college in Greensboro. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brooke

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to getting out of my own way and seeing myself clearly. My mentor and supervisor said 'I see you, but do you see you?' which helped me recognize my own accomplishments without needing constant external validation. I focus on doing good work with a pure heart and finding satisfaction in helping others through my role.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received was to get out of my own way. My mentor, who is also my supervisor, told me 'I see you, but do you see you?' This reminded me that as I grow in my profession, I shouldn't wait for others to validate my achievements. Instead, I need to recognize my own value and find gratitude in the work itself and helping others.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

For young women entering the field, reach out and pay attention to wisdom from others. Listen to advice even if you don't follow it exactly. Don't shy away from changing careers midstream. Chase your passion, build resilience, and surround yourself with a supportive team that truly supports your vision. Never let people tell you that you can't achieve something.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value my ethical and moral stance, professionalism in my delivery, and the ability to positively influence and touch others' lives. Whether helping with onboarding, personal crises like divorce or loss, I aim to be a comfort and support. I believe in what comes around goes around and hold myself to high standards while being human and sensitive.
