Her Story

About Brooke

Brooke Silcox is a sustainability leader with more than a decade of experience helping organizations translate climate ambition into measurable action. In February 2026, she launched her own consulting practice, Carbon Thread Analytics, based in St. Augustine, Florida, where she guides small and mid-sized companies through the increasingly complex landscape of environmental reporting — including California climate disclosure requirements, CDP, EcoVadis, and other regulatory frameworks. Through this work, she builds full-scale greenhouse gas inventories, resolves data inconsistencies, and develops practical tools that turn dense emissions data into clear, decision-ready insight for her clients.

Before founding her own firm, Brooke built her expertise across a range of industries spanning logistics, maritime operations, and corporate enterprise. As Sustainability Manager at Crowley Maritime Corporation, she directed enterprise-wide Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon accounting efforts, managed the company's external ESG disclosures, and introduced a carbon accounting platform to strengthen reporting accuracy and audit readiness. At Velux, she established the organization's supplier diversity program and led an effort that brought roughly 28% of its supply chain into CDP reporting, advancing both transparency and supplier engagement. Earlier in her career at Indeed, she designed and launched a global employee commuting program that reshaped commuting patterns across 47 locations worldwide, reflecting her ability to connect large-scale operational change with measurable environmental outcomes.

Brooke holds credentials from NYU Stern School of Business and the Cambridge Institute of Learning in sustainability, and she is currently working toward her Environmental Professional (EP) certification. She has also earned recognition as a My Green Lab Accredited Professional and completed a Google AI certification, underscoring her commitment to staying at the forefront of both sustainability practice and emerging technology. Driven by perseverance and a deep passion for environmental work, Brooke believes in growing into opportunities rather than waiting to feel fully prepared for them — a philosophy she extends to those she mentors, encouraging especially young women in the field to find new paths forward when they encounter obstacles. For Brooke, sustainability is not a checkbox but a culture, rooted in responsibility and collaborative partnership, and driven by the conviction that the work being done today serves everyone.
