Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I think a lot of my success stems from my childhood. Growing up, I was an only child and lived in small town America. I think a lot of it's my personality. I always just know what I want. I dream big. I'm a dreamer, I'm a Pisces. My husband always teases me that he's the one thing that actually stuck around because I usually forget about the next thing, and so that's kind of our joke. Having that season of life where I didn't have children until later, I had a lot of time to just focus on my career. And having my support system has been crucial. My husband is a huge supporter, and you have to have support at home, especially with children. With my job, I travel a lot, so he is my biggest fan and my support system at home.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

When asked about people who have made an impact in Brooke's career journey she highlighted first and foremost her wonderful husband Matt who is a huge support not only at home with their children but with her job since she has to travel quite a bit. She feels that Matt is her biggest fan and without his support she doesn't know how she would be able to balance things. He is an incredible man who works two and works create their beautiful environment hands on with the farm. She is incredibly grateful for her wonderful partner in this life and would love to highlight him for all of his amazing characteristics and his motivation.

Brooked would also love to highlight all the managers she's had; there was who was managing her for the longest period of time and was incredibly positive focusing on Brooke's strengths. She is Grateful for having someone focus on her strength and BR upon that by inspiring Brooke to do the same. She really helped to build her confidence, and she is very grateful for that experience and learning opportunity. She is also thankful for her new manager who is wonderful and supportive, and she is grateful for having a team who worked together so seamlessly.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I've been lucky. Find a company that aligns with your values, your morals, your goals, and your vision. When you find that company, inside of that are people that, for me, became more than my colleagues. They're friends, they're a support system. I've just been very fortunate to have a company like Farm Bureau that I work for. Be kind to everybody. I always tell people, you never know who your boss is going to be. It's probably that colleague. My big thing has always been keeping your eyes on the future. You have to be where your feet are, but you also have to look at the future, because you need to be planning for your next move. Like in my situation, getting my additional licenses just opens new doors. Lean on your strengths. That's important. I always coach others in focusing on what they bring to the table and expanding on their own skill sets.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Brooke will be jumping in to add more detail pertaining to what inspires her on a daily basis and the people who have surrounded her with encouragement and impacted her journey. She will also highlight how she would like to connect with other amazing women within our community and inspire our readers, as well as the things that bring her joy outside of work such as interests and hobbies, she will also highlight detail in regard to her goals for the future and how she would like to see her career expand, as well as any other information she would like to highlight that pertains to her career and the next chapter of her story as it's written.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I try to work with a lot of purpose. I try to be a servant. I work hard because it's the right thing to do, and I want my kids to see the value of working hard and the value of a dollar. I just don't see that in children anymore. A lot of what I do now is so my kids can see the right thing to do, and how to be a servant, and how to work with purpose that fulfills you. Obviously that will pay in the end, hopefully for me and my family. I'm married to my husband, Matt, and I have two children. We live in small town America, we live on a farm. We both grew up in agriculture and farm families, so we want to instill that in our children. That's important to us. My children are blessings. My husband and I chase them around. My husband works two jobs and works on the farm too.
