About Brooke M.
Brooke Nadeau is a dedicated educator and criminal justice professional based in Eagle Lake, Maine, with extensive experience in teaching, training, and administration. Currently serving as an adjunct faculty member in the Criminal Justice Department at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, she specializes in developing engaging coursework and fostering critical thinking in students, particularly in online and rural public safety programs. Brooke also works with MSAD 27 School District as an Alternative Educator, tailoring lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of high school students, including those with IEP and 504 plans.
With a strong background in healthcare administration and public service, Brooke has held roles ranging from Patient Financial Services Supervisor to Activity Coordinator at Northern Maine General and Northern Maine Medical Center. Her expertise spans conflict resolution, public safety, and critical thinking, and she brings a compassionate, hands-on approach to her work with adolescents facing personal and academic challenges.
Brooke holds a Master of Science in Crime Scene Investigations from Stevenson University and is pursuing a Doctor of Science in Criminal Justice from Walden University. She is also a certified Peer Recovery Coach with a focus on ethical considerations in behavioral health. Through her volunteer work and professional experience, Brooke is committed to supporting community wellness, advocating for youth development, and implementing best practices in both educational and public safety settings.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to go for it and always do your best, no matter what.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field are the demanding on-call hours, but there are always opportunities to grow and make an impact in law enforcement.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me at work are respect, compassion, and a strong work ethic, while at home I focus on being a great mom and teaching my kids kindness and compassion.
