About Brooklyn

Brooklyn Salyers serves as Territory Sales Manager at BUBBL'R Antioxidant Sparkling Water. In this role, she manages sales across about 400 major retailers in Ohio and the Midwest, including chains such as Target, Meijer, Kroger, Giant Eagle, and UDF, focusing on growing the brand's market share in the functional beverage space. She entered the CPG industry after graduating from Wright State University a little over a year ago, where she majored in communications with minors in health and Spanish, finishing at the top of her class and receiving recognition as the top student in the communications department for the class of 2025. Prior to her current position, she completed a beverage internship with Anheuser-Busch, handling field marketing and contributing to the launch of Neutral Seltzer. Salyers attributes her success to being a people person and values maintaining balance while focusing on results over hours worked. She is also involved with NextUp leadership conferences and volunteers at the food bank through Best Besa. She speaks Spanish and draws on her communications background in her sales and account management work.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brooklyn

01What do you attribute your success to?

Just being a people person. I've talked to major CEOs and presidents and they'll tell you that being a people person is what gets you there.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never do wrong by the company. If you think it's wrong, it probably is. Always put your highest amount of respect into your work. I had really great professors at Wright State.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Make sure that you really love what you're pursuing. Maybe you don't like sparkling water but maybe you love the retail environment and you love people. Always put people first and then the sales will follow.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

You have to have a balance. Don't focus on time or minor details but focus on making the most out of the time you have and what will get you the best results. Put in 50-60 hours a week but focus on results.
