Her Story
About Bryce
I've had an adventurous career journey, switching between PR, social media, and financial technology over the past 10 to 15 years. For the past 2 years, I've been working independently through my business, House of Bryce, focusing on financial technology and stewarding the structure of wealth through computer-based learning groups. I've always been told that I give great direction, and I discovered that money loves movement - when you flow and participate, you can be trusted. As long as I flowed with money, I've made great deals. When I got into this industry and field, I saw a supernatural difference and skyrocketed into such an understanding. Currently, I work with tax software, helping clients prepare their taxes. I've become infatuated with tax laws and strategies in a way that I can just talk about it naturally - I know what would be a great tax write-off, when someone needs to turn in their W-4 after getting married. This knowledge is embroidered in my brain at this point. I love being able to help everyone from friends to family to other colleagues. My day-to-day involves creating a school-like structure to stay organized and maintain a strong base, making sure I show up even though the day belongs to me. One of my biggest challenges is not taking other people's tax situations personally - sometimes I feel bad for them and want to jump in, but when you owe something, you owe something, and I can't interfere between the IRS and a person. I can only help prepare my clients for their taxes and provide them with tax breaks and strategies.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would attribute my success to God, because He created me. I understand that a lot of people may say self-made, but I'm not self-made. If it's something earthly that you were looking for, I would say my mother and my amazing family - I have a great support system. I've never been limited. I wasn't raised in a sheltered house. With my mom, she was like, no, I'm gonna push you out of this plane, and you better fly. That's how I was raised. She'd be right there, but it's like, no, you need to swim. You want to go in this deep water? Swim. You want to fly? Jump out of the plane, let's go! I've always been exposed to great atmospheres, even when I was afraid. I was put in those positions to develop my character, and I had no other choice but to succeed.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be relentless and meticulous. Continue to be meticulous, because I am. A lot of times, I don't believe in the word no. When I make a list, there's a yes waiting for me somewhere. I don't care what no I've received, there is a yes waiting for me somewhere. And until I get it, I'm going to use whatever I need, because have you ever seen that illustration where the man kept knocking under the ground, and he didn't even know that this whole entire wall of diamonds was behind one more piece if he would have just hit it 3 more times? But the next picture showed him walking away. He didn't even know that he was that close to his next blessing. Everything has a purpose in my life. Even when I'm trying to be like, this was not on purpose, well, it doesn't matter if something was not on purpose. What if it was ordained in your destiny for you to complete it? It's gonna happen. When it's in you, it's in you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Prepare. Have your notable documents or whatever way that you would like to put it - have those things ready. Leave your feelings at home. Be ready to run and skyrocket. Be ready to become Usain Bolt, and run like your life depends on it, because it does. Don't be afraid for the light to shine on your face, because when your time is here, it's your time.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and action are the most important values to me. Integrity can hold everything. Integrity is held and also caused the destruction of many different company structures from people being dishonest. Integrity can be a full sentence if you let it. Action is also critical - sometimes you need to step forward, sometimes you need to speak up, and sometimes you have to be quiet, because your sign and whatever that you need could be right in front of you, and you're missing it trying to play the boss. Just because you're loud doesn't mean you're right.
