Her Story

About Bryttanie

Bryttanie Jackson owns Clinical Credentialing and Consulting, which she launched approximately a year and a half ago after deciding to pursue entrepreneurship. In this role, she assists healthcare providers with credentialing to become in-network with various insurance payers, enabling them to treat patients and receive reimbursement. Her background includes managing travel agencies for six hospitals nationwide in a corporate position that demanded constant on-call availability, as well as prior work in the legal field. Jackson recently hired her first part-time employee and is expanding the business to include billing services. She draws motivation from her family, particularly her two daughters with a third child expected, and her personal journey from homeless shelters and welfare to create a different life for her children. Jackson advises young women entering the industry to avoid self-doubt and believe in themselves, noting that she has grown to see the sky as the limit after overcoming initial uncertainties about business ownership.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Bryttanie

01What do you attribute your success to?

My family and my girls. I have come from homeless shelters and living off of welfare, and I knew from early on that that wasn't going to be my life. I started working at a young age and have grown from there. What drives me is knowing that I wanted to instill a life that my children wouldn't have to experience the same pieces of trauma that I have dealt with. They are my motivators and make me want to push harder every single day.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't doubt yourself is the number one thing. If you would have told me when I started my career that I would be a business owner now, I would be like, of what? How? There were so many questions that were in the way, but when you break down all of those barriers and you believe in yourself, the sky is truly the limit. Go after your dreams and don't let roadblocks get in your way. I've worked in both the legal field and the healthcare space, and I never thought that I would be on my own running my own company, but I just believe in myself now unlike I ever did before.
