About Caitlen
Caitlen is a dedicated sales and catering professional who has worked in the field since 2017. She currently serves as Catering Sales Manager at Naked Farmer, where she focuses on growing the catering business across the Tampa Bay and Sarasota markets through relationship building with local businesses and community partners. Prior to this role, she spent eight years at Topgolf, beginning as a sales consultant in event planning and sales after transitioning from an administrative position, and later worked for about a year at PopStroke in similar event sales roles covering the Sarasota and Fort Myers markets. She earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Communication from USF, completing the degree in 2022 while working full time, and she completed the Tyson sales certificate workshop twice during her tenure at Topgolf. Caitlen has a passion for teachers and education, having volunteered with the Hillsborough Education Foundation, and she attributes much of her success to the network of women she met early in her career who provided mentorship and turned into lifelong friends.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My success has come from the women I met early in my career who advocated for me, gave priceless advice, and turned work relationships into genuine lifelong friendships. Building a community before you need it and sharing both wins and losses opens doors in ways you can't plan for.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Reach out and meet people to build your network before you need something from someone. Keep being curious, don't gatekeep, and help others grow. Being generous with information and enjoyable to be around will reflect back to you, and some of the best opportunities come from unplanned conversations through that network.
