Ten minutes with Caitlin

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Done is better than perfect. Sometimes you just have to get it done, you just have to get it out there, you just have to move. Analysis paralysis will kill you every time. And done is better than perfect, and sometimes it's about speed whether it's and perfection, especially with my new venture.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Every day is a new day. There's always gonna be setbacks, there's always gonna be hardships, there's always gonna be a challenge in the economy, or a setback in your industry, or something going on in your personal life. But as long as you get up every morning with a good attitude, and you do what's in front of you, one foot in front of the other, and you control what you can control, as long as you keep going.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Opportunity in affiliate marketing space by flipping influencing to be more corporate and personalized. Opportunity as influencer bubble bursts and people care more about what we are wearing. Technology developing to humanize ourselves and gather together. Challenge with AI portion due to recent bad press, but cautious not to have AI just for the sake of AI but to solve a problem like endless scrolling.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Relationships are the most important thing to me, whether that be friendships, or family, or professional. I really believe in the power that connection holds, and that is partly why I ran with the what are we wearing idea, because it encourages connection. It encourages you to go to events. It encourages you to gather your friends and communicate.
