Caitlin Russell

Caitlin Russell is a dedicated healthcare educator and certified athletic trainer, currently serving as the Clinical Education Coordinator and Assistant Professor for the Master of Athletic Training Program at Charleston Southern University. With a strong foundation in sports medicine and injury prevention, Caitlin brings over six years of hands-on experience to her role, including nearly six years at Atrium Health, where she supported athletes in secondary school settings through injury assessment, rehabilitation, and long-term care.

Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Sports Management from Wingate University and ongoing doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Liberty University, reflecting her passion for advancing both clinical practice and education. Caitlin is committed to preparing the next generation of athletic trainers by bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical application. Her values in education, healthcare, and service are evident through her certifications, leadership roles, and involvement in humanitarian causes such as health, education, and veteran support.
