Her Interview
Ten minutes with Caitlyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
My work ethic, being willing to do what a lot of people are not, staying longer hours, doing stuff that doesn't fall within my scope, saying yes, making sure I'm the person people feel like they can go to for whatever.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from Susan, a former HR and Operations leader who served as a pivotal mentor throughout my career. She taught me how to navigate workplace challenges with confidence and resilience while not allowing gender bias or external perceptions to define my path. Her guidance helped me stay focused on my strengths, advocate for myself, and continue growing professionally.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
When people ask what has contributed most to my career, the answer is simple: work hard, stay curious, and be willing to do more than what is expected. Some of the greatest opportunities in my career came from saying "yes" to challenges that were outside my job description. Those experiences stretched my abilities, built my confidence, and opened doors I never anticipated.
Looking ahead, I remain excited about what comes next. Whether developing supplier partnerships, exploring new opportunities, or mentoring future leaders, I hope my journey encourages others to remain open to unexpected possibilities. Careers are rarely defined by where you start. They are shaped by your willingness to grow, adapt, and embrace every opportunity to make a difference.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The culture of alcohol has changed, kids are not drinking the way that millennials did, seeing a slowdown, having to get really creative with creating occasions, convenience play now.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are dedication, reliability, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. I attribute my success to having a strong work ethic, saying “yes” to challenges, and consistently taking on responsibilities beyond my role. I strive to be someone others can depend on for support, guidance, and solutions. Giving back is also important to me, and I enjoy participating in charitable initiatives through company partnerships, including volunteering with Three Square and other local nonprofits that support families in Southern Nevada. Outside of work, I value balance and personal growth through staying active, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and enjoying experiences like Broadway shows, ballet, and live performances.
