Calida Jones, M.M., is a distinguished violinist, international speaker, and entrepreneur whose career spans over 25 years in music, arts advocacy, and education strategy. Beginning as a performing musician, Calida quickly realized the competitive nature of orchestral performance and began exploring new avenues to expand her impact. This journey led her to found C&J Associates, co-own another company, and serve as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale’s Cultural Innovation Lab, where she supports creative organizations and drives innovative projects in the arts.

In her day-to-day work, Calida focuses on problem-solving for theaters, opera companies, and orchestras through executive searches, strategic planning, and motivational speaking. She is committed to fostering inclusive communities and mentoring emerging leaders, often combining her expertise in arts management with her skills as a coach and public speaker. Notably, she delivered a TEDx talk and addressed a live audience of half a million in India with a two-minute speech titled “Operate in Kindness”, inspiring audiences globally with her message of compassion and community.

Beyond her entrepreneurial and consulting work, Calida is deeply engaged in education and mentorship. She teaches as an adjunct professor at Clark University and Minneapolis College of Art and Design, guiding students in creative leadership, diversity, and professional development. Through her multifaceted career, Calida has seamlessly blended artistry, advocacy, and entrepreneurship, empowering individuals and organizations worldwide while staying rooted in her mission to cultivate connection, creativity, and positive change.
