Her Story

About Callie

Callie Roberson (She/Her) is an award-winning Creative Director and Owner of Manifestive Design, a full-service creative studio that helps organizations clarify, design, and elevate their brands through strategic thinking and cohesive visual systems. Her work spans brand strategy, visual identity, website design, marketing campaigns, and environmental design, including large-scale murals and experiential installations. She is known for translating complex business goals into clear, intentional creative solutions that strengthen brand consistency, improve user experience, and drive audience connection.

Callie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Studies/Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and completed advanced Communication Design coursework at Texas State University, building a strong interdisciplinary foundation in both creative execution and strategic thinking.

She began her career at a small marketing firm in College Station, Texas, where she developed her skills through hands-on design, client collaboration, and production work. When the firm closed, she was entrusted with its client relationships, marking a pivotal shift from designer to business operator. She went on to grow and lead that client base within a creative studio environment, developing both her creative expertise and business acumen along the way.

After broadening her experience in a subsequent leadership role, Callie returned to independent leadership and founded Manifestive Design. What began as a solo venture has grown into a collaborative studio, where she now leads strategy, client partnerships, and the execution of integrated creative projects across digital, print, and built environments. Today, she is actively scaling her client base toward $1M in annual revenue while continuing to expand the studio’s reach and impact.

In addition to her client work, Callie is deeply committed to community engagement, supporting nonprofit organizations through pro bono creative services and mentoring emerging creatives while fostering a culture rooted in clarity, generosity, and design excellence.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Callie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of strong mentorship, a willingness to take risks, and a steady progression of learning through real-world experience. Right out of college, I joined a small marketing firm in College Station after earning my visual studies degree from Texas A&M, where my first boss played a pivotal role in teaching me the fundamentals of the industry and trusting me with client relationships that helped me grow quickly and confidently. Over time, I helped scale that work into a studio generating significant revenue, learning how to build and run a creative business from the ground up alongside a small but dedicated team. A major turning point came from early encouragement in high school and college, where key mentors recognized my creative ability and helped shape my direction, including a professor who went out of her way to support my development in graphic design. Ultimately, my success comes from being open to opportunity, learning through experience, and having the courage to step out on my own when the timing felt right, even when it was uncomfortable.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my work and personal life, I value creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth, and I look for opportunities that allow me to bring ideas to life in meaningful, hands-on ways. I enjoy travel and the inspiration it brings, and I’ve spent the past four years painting murals about 40 in total which has been a rewarding outlet for expression and community engagement. I also value health, energy, and movement in my daily life; I enjoy dancing, particularly through aerobics-based classes, and I previously taught aerobics for many years, including Zumba and hip-hop, which strengthened my appreciation for discipline, rhythm, and helping others stay active and motivated.
