Her Story
About Cam
Cam Dunson is a consultant based in Orlando, Florida, with expertise in corporate culture, belonging in the workplace, psychological safety, and organizational development. After more than 20 years with a large international nonprofit, including extensive time overseas in Southwest America and Europe training personnel, she transitioned into consulting approximately five years ago. During the COVID lockdown in Great Britain, she pursued and completed a PhD in organizational psychology, with her dissertation focused on belonging in the workplace, and she also holds a degree in biopsychology. Her work emphasizes using corporate culture strategies to boost employee retention, engagement, and performance, with psychological safety as a key foundation alongside acceptance, purpose, status, and respect. Cam delivered a TEDx talk in January and previously uncovered structural racism in three organizations during her time at another consultancy. She is a SHRM SEP, member of SHRM and a local chapter, and currently serves as board chair for Florida Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She also volunteers with her church on projects such as delivering birthday gifts to foster children.
