Her Story

About Camilla

I started my career as a recruiter officially at the beginning of 2024, and joined Spherion as a senior recruiter in December 2024. I lead end-to-end talent acquisition for diverse clients across the aerospace, engineering, warehouse, logistics, and supply chain industries throughout the Puget Sound area in Seattle, Washington. My role encompasses the full cycle recruitment process, from searching and screening to interviewing and placing candidates, as well as managing offers, onboarding, and payroll processing. What I find most rewarding is my success in placing candidates in new positions - I have success stories every week and every month. I approach each candidate with dedication, coaching them through the entire process, preparing them for interviews, and guiding them through onboarding until they successfully land in their new job. I come from a retail background, and my transition into recruiting was made possible by my commitment to never stop learning and believing in myself, even when shifting from one industry to another.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my eagerness to learn and never stopping believing in myself. I never stop learning new things, and I will say that this is what helps me the most through my entire career. I come from a different background, which is retail, and it's really sometimes difficult to shift from one industry to another one. But by the fact that I never stopped believing in myself and learning, that helped me land here into the recruiting industry.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I will say always to believe in yourself, that sometimes, for me, it is a challenge. So, even for the women out there, I would say believe in yourself - you are a strong person, a strong woman, and you can do whatever you want. You have just to put the first foot outside the door to start. And then, I will say being able to ask for help and recognize when you need help is not a limit when you ask for help, but on the other side, it could be an occasion for you to enrich yourself and learn from others.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are trust, collaboration, and overall, building relationships that can last with time. Collaboration is the very first one.
