Her Interview

Ten minutes with Camille

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support from my family. My parents instilled rigor and keeping us busy in programs since we were kids. Also personal motivation and the Lord.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You have to always put in the work to make an impact, but do not work yourself to the bone because they will replace you. Balance work with personal life and basic needs like gym; job should not be your entire life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Remain focused and tenacious. When something's not working, change it. Be an empath, understand your answer isn't always right. Be a partner in leadership. Own up to mistakes and have a growth mindset.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges: High cost of ABA ($20k/month), insurance barriers, lack of access for kids without good coverage. Opportunities: Expand Medicaid services, government funding, parent training to support kids of color and prevent negative outcomes.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family, empathy, respecting boundaries, growth, respect, community, compassion, adaptability, authenticity.
