About Camille
Camille Salmon is a results-driven federal sales leader in the cybersecurity industry, currently serving as Sales Leader – Federal Inside Sales at Axonius Federal Systems. With more than 13 years of experience spanning public sector, channel, and federal sales, she specializes in building high-performing teams, optimizing sales pipelines, and driving revenue growth within complex and regulated environments. Her career includes nearly five years focused on federal government accounts and extensive experience supporting DoD, federal civilian, tribal, and other public sector organizations.
Before joining Axonius Federal Systems in 2025, Camille spent nearly four years at Veeam Software, progressing through federal account management and inside sales leadership roles. As Inside Sales Manager, she led and mentored a high-performing federal sales team, exceeded the 2024 annual sales quota, and coached three representatives to President’s Club recognition. She also received Best Performing Team honors in Q1 2024. Earlier in her career, Camille spent more than seven years with SCW as a Senior Territory Account Manager, developing public sector relationships, generating qualified opportunities, managing RFQ and bid requirements, and collaborating with manufacturers and channel partners to support growth.
Camille holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University, an educational foundation that complements her people-centered approach to leadership, communication, and relationship building. She is passionate about mentoring emerging sales professionals, championing women in technology, and creating inclusive teams built on collaboration and accountability. Her leadership philosophy emphasizes coaching, data-driven decision-making, consistent effort, and focusing on the factors within her control while embracing the continuous evolution of cybersecurity.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to focusing on what I can control and giving my best effort. I don’t dwell on failure because it looks different for everyone. I can be tough on myself, so encouragement from others reminds me that I’m capable of doing hard things.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to focus on what I can control and give 100% effort. I’ve learned not to dwell on failure, as what may feel like failure to me may not be viewed that way by others. I also remind myself to take breaks and give myself grace along the way.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering cybersecurity to maintain a growth mindset and commit to continuous learning. Don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t understand yet” or “I need to learn more.” Cybersecurity is constantly evolving, so staying curious and open to growth is essential.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving, creating both challenges and opportunities. The field has shifted from traditional backup and recovery to areas such as asset management, Zero Trust, and increasingly complex security environments. Staying current and adapting to these changes is essential.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value creativity, giving back, and staying connected to the things that bring me fulfillment outside of work. Photography allows me to express my creativity, while volunteering gives me an opportunity to support and serve others.
