Her Interview
Ten minutes with Camryn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to just working hard, honestly. Not letting the non-important stuff get in the way. There's always people who are gonna try and cause issues, and I just keep your head down, keep working, don't let that stuff get in the way of what you're trying to accomplish, because at the end of the day, that stuff does not matter.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is putting myself first. Not sweating the small stuff, and just keep going, keep getting the job done.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just follow your gut. If there's something that you're interested in, see if it's possible. If your current organization doesn't have something and you want to focus on building it, do it. Say yes to everything that comes your way. Get as much experience as you can. The more experience you can get, the more you figure out what you want to do and what you don't want to do.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Treating people everyone the same and never making assumptions or judgment about people. Something that's so important especially being in human resources but also just working so closely with people is you don't know what they're going through. Everybody's going through something. So I think just giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, letting them explain themselves, and not just jumping to conclusions.
