Candace Spain, BSRS, R.T.(R)(MR), ARRT is a highly skilled MRI Technologist at Dedicated MRI Center, PLLC, an outpatient imaging facility that operates within a larger healthcare network encompassing orthopedic offices, urgent care clinics, and home health services. With over eight years specializing in MRI and a career in medical imaging dating back to 2014, Candace brings both technical expertise and compassionate patient care to every procedure. Candace began her career as a staff technologist and advanced into MRI, eventually taking on supervisory responsibilities while earning her Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science from Midwestern State University. Prior to joining Dedicated MRI, she spent seven years at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, gaining extensive experience in medical imaging. She also worked at Urgent Doc, where she served as a medical assistant and X-ray technologist before becoming assistant manager. Inspired early on by her mother’s experience in a radiologist’s office, Candace developed a passion for imaging and patient care that has guided her career trajectory.

Throughout her career, Candace has prioritized patient care and safety, particularly when working with individuals who are anxious, unwell, or claustrophobic during MRI procedures. Her daily responsibilities include performing equipment quality assurance, patient screening, and complete MRI imaging procedures, as well as explaining complex imaging concepts in an accessible way. She emphasizes proper patient positioning and dispels misconceptions about MRI work, highlighting the skill and precision required. Among her professional achievements, earning her bachelor’s degree stands out, and she looks forward to future opportunities in teaching or administration, with a goal of educating future radiologic professionals in Lufkin.
