Stephanie, an HR representative I worked with, provided invaluable guidance, offering career advice and support, and was always willing to step in whenever I had questions. Virginia Lloyd also played a pivotal role, motivating me to explore new possibilities and pushing me to give my all whenever I pursued a new position. Their combined encouragement and guidance have been instrumental in shaping my career path.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to never underestimate your skills. One of the most important qualities you can bring forward is strong communication—being able to connect, socialize, and network effectively is key. Put yourself out there, find your voice, and lead with authenticity in everything you do.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities I see in my field right now is using my platform to highlight causes I’m passionate about, such as pet adoption and animal welfare. I’m focused on supporting local humane societies and rescue organizations and raising awareness for their important work. On the mentorship side, my manager and mentor, Gwendolyn Sisto, has encouraged me to pursue new skills and opportunities, and her guidance has been invaluable in helping me grow professionally while also making a meaningful impact through my work.
