She is widely regarded as a trusted advisor and learning practitioner who excels at bringing structure to complexity, building scalable systems, and aligning organizational strategy with measurable execution. Her work is centered on creating sustainable learning ecosystems that enhance capability, strengthen compliance, and support long-term business growth.

She began her career in accounting before discovering her passion for learning and development, which led her to pursue a graduate degree in adult learning and performance improvement. Over the years, she has built a diverse career spanning manufacturing with Ford Motor Company, healthcare at Trinity Health, and financial services at Ally Financial, along with experience in consulting and other regulated environments. In her current role, she oversees vendor management, early career and internship programs, Workday learning administration, and serves as a NASBA-approved sponsor responsible for delivering continuing education credits. She also partners with senior leadership on onboarding, compliance, and organizational growth initiatives while managing a $350,000 training budget supporting a team of approximately 150 employees.

Beyond her corporate leadership roles, Candice is deeply committed to education and community engagement. She serves as an adjunct professor at Baker College, where she teaches business and management courses, and she is actively involved in youth leadership development through her work with Girl Scouts, helping young girls build confidence, leadership skills, and professional readiness. She also values time spent with her family and enjoys traveling, which reflects her belief in maintaining balance, connection, and perspective alongside a demanding professional career. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Candice

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success primarily to hard work, consistency, and a commitment to continuous learning. Staying disciplined and focused has allowed me to push through challenges, remain accountable to my goals, and deliver results even in demanding environments. I also believe that putting in sustained effort over time, while remaining open to growth and improvement, has been essential in building both my skills and long-term professional success.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to remain open, adaptable, and grounded in your integrity. Career paths are rarely linear, and often we are being prepared for opportunities we cannot yet see. Embrace new experiences with confidence, even when they feel uncertain, and trust that every step whether it leads to success or redirection is part of your growth. Not every opportunity is meant for you, and sometimes what feels like rejection is actually protection guiding you toward a better fit.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI presents both significant opportunities and challenges in today’s work environment. It enhances efficiency by streamlining tactical and repetitive tasks, allowing professionals to focus more on strategic and value-driven work. At the same time, it introduces concerns about job displacement and the evolving nature of roles. The key to navigating this shift is maintaining the human element in decision-making and leadership while continuously upskilling to stay relevant and adaptable in an evolving digital landscape.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the core value that guides both my professional and personal life. It shapes how I make decisions, how I treat others, and how I show up in every environment. I believe that maintaining honesty, accountability, and ethical standards builds trust, strengthens relationships, and creates a foundation for long-term success and meaningful impact.
