About Cara

Cara Lepnark is an L&D Strategist and healthcare training professional with approximately a decade of experience specializing in system conversions, onboarding design, and adult learning strategy. In her current role as a Trainer at Health Advocate, she facilitates remote training, learner coaching, and employee development across departments, translating complex workflows into clear, practical instruction that supports performance and confidence. She is known for designing learning experiences that are structured, accessible, and grounded in real-world application.

Previously, she spent several years with AmeriHealth Administrators, where she led large-scale training initiatives, including system conversion support and multi-week onboarding programs for high-volume learner cohorts. Her work consistently focused on simplifying complex operational changes into usable training materials, improving learner readiness, and strengthening organizational consistency during periods of transition. Across her roles, she has built a reputation for strong communication, learner advocacy, and the ability to drive measurable training outcomes.

Cara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Creative Writing from Geneva College, where she graduated summa cum laude. Her background in education informs her approach to instructional design, combining adult learning principles with clarity, empathy, and engagement. She is also certified in facilitation and virtual training, and her professional philosophy centers on turning complexity into confidence for every learner she supports.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Cara

01What do you attribute your success to?

Working hard to achieve goals.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Go into the area you’re wired to do. If you go into the field that you're wired for you dont work a day in your life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

One of the best pieces of advice I've received is to follow my natural strengths and abilities rather than staying in a role simply because it feels comfortable or safe. A career counselor once shared an analogy about finding not only the right bus, but the right seat on that bus—a reminder that success comes from aligning your talents and passions with the work you do. I've found that when you're in the right role, your strengths can shine, and both your performance and fulfillment naturally grow.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Staying grounded
