Carla LeChette-Danberry, Ph.D., is a retired U.S. Army strategist and dedicated public policy professional who has seamlessly transitioned her military expertise into community service and veterans’ advocacy. Throughout her 30+ year military career, she gained extensive experience in leadership, project management, strategic planning, and multinational collaboration, building relationships with international allies during NATO and ABCANZ exercises. Following her retirement in 2019, Carla has focused her efforts on supporting veterans and local communities, serving as an ambassador for Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs and volunteering with programs that enhance veteran wellness, connection, and purpose. Her professional focus combines public policy, strategic intelligence, and practical community service. Carla earned a master’s degree in Strategic Intelligence and completed her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration, with research concentrating on terrorism, peace, and mediation. She approaches her work with a strong emphasis on service, integrity, and actionable support, aiming to make tangible impacts for veterans, local schools, and civic organizations. Her military background and advanced academic training equip her to navigate complex challenges while fostering meaningful connections across diverse communities. In addition, to her leadership and policy work, Carla actively engages in volunteerism and mentorship. She contributes to initiatives with The Mission Continues, Warrior Remembrance and Research Foundation, SALUTE, and veterans’ support programs, and she brings her technical skills to her role as a licensed dental assistant and IT-certified professional. Recognized for her influence and dedication, Carla has been invited to be featured in Influential Women for 2026, reflecting her commitment to service, leadership, and community impact.

My advice to young women entering this field is to ignore naysayers, stay focused on what drives you, and let setbacks fuel your determination to succeed.

The values I hold most important are honesty, integrity, and ethical truthfulness, while leading with kindness, compassion, and respect for everyone, regardless of our differences.
