Her Story
About Carley
I grew up riding and showing horses, being the first one in my family to get into the Western industry. My parents were incredibly supportive even though they didn't know anything about the industry and learned alongside me. I was recruited to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth to be on the equestrian team. After college, I worked in the spirits industry creating different partnerships in the western and equine industries. From there, I worked for the National Cutting Horse Association for a few years doing business development, which grew into a marketing business development hybrid role. Taylor Sheridan then recruited me to come work at the Four Sixes Ranch, where I now oversee everything related to our brand as a lifestyle, including our whiskey and vodka, horses, direct-to-consumer beef, and retail entity. I'm passionate about bringing new people into the Western industry and educating people about this way of life, making it fun and engaging so people want to be a part of our brand.

Ten minutes with Carley
01What do you attribute your success to?
I really think pretty much everyone in my family is pretty gritty. We are a family that is just, let's get things done, like, what can we do to solve this problem? Very solution-oriented, and that's on both sides of my family. I'm from a big family on both sides too, so it very much is about working with other people, teamwork, from a very young age. As I've been able to work more in the Western industry, I just have such a passion for making sure that that industry is thriving for future generations. There's so many people that don't know where food comes from, or about all of these things that are problems to not only farmers, but to everyone, because it affects our food sources. In this role now, that continues to drive me every day - how can we bring new people into the fold? How can we educate people about this way of life, and how can we make it fun and engaging, where people do want to be a small part of our brand?
