Her Interview
Ten minutes with Carly
01What do you attribute your success to?
Betting on myself, networking, putting myself out there, not being afraid to take the risk and learn new skills, replacing my teaching salary in six months through my business.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Bet on yourself, take the risk. If you have a life outside of what you're currently doing that you're envisioning and you are not comfortable or satisfied with where you're at, take the risk, bet on yourself, start the business, hire the mentor, invest in yourself. You will never regret investing in yourself.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Women underpricing services like charging only $23 an hour instead of higher retainers; business owners not treating VA work as real business or paying monthly retainers; losing clients creates space for better aligned ones; reframing mindset around worth and that everything happens for a reason.
