Her Story
About Carly Alyssa
Carly Alyssa Thorne is a transformational life coach, author, speaker, director, producer, and actress based in Woodland Hills, California, with more than three decades of experience spanning the transformational arts and entertainment industries. Blending Eastern and Western philosophies, she has built her career around a holistic mind-body-spirit methodology, crafting individualized blueprints for clients that account for their archetype, learning style, birth chart, business circumstances, family life, and physical wellbeing. As the founder of Transformations Life Coaching and Transformations Life Productions, she works with people navigating major turning points — grief, career loss, or simply feeling stuck — helping them move from overwhelm to action through her signature framework, Do It, Delegate It, or Delete It. Alongside her coaching practice, she has produced and directed films and live events, operated fitness and wellness centers, and served clients as a certified NLP and hypnotherapy practitioner, Reiki Master, and Interfaith Ordained Minister.
Thorne's philosophy is rooted in a life defined by resilience. Born with congenital rubella syndrome, she has undergone 67 surgeries and survived a childhood marked by abuse, including three suicide attempts in her youth. Rather than being confined by that history, she rebuilt her identity from the ground up, legally taking the name "Thorne" as a symbol of the boundaries she has learned to hold — much like a rose that carries both beauty and thorns together. That same resilience now shapes her advocacy work and informs the empathy she brings to every client relationship, allowing her to connect with others facing their own crossroads from a place of lived understanding rather than theory alone.
Beyond her coaching practice, Thorne maintains an active creative and publishing career, having contributed to roughly fifteen collaborative books with two more releasing in September, alongside magazine features launching that same month and in October. She speaks internationally, with upcoming engagements in Dubai and Paris, and produces content for Gnostic TV as part of what she describes as the next wave of tele-consciousness. Her commitment to lifelong learning is reflected in a daily routine built around sun exposure, wellness therapies, and roughly 3,000 pages of self-development reading each week. In recognition of her impact, she was named one of the influential women representing California for 2026 and received a Certificate of Recognition for Philanthropic Efforts from the City of Los Angeles in 2016.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Carly Alyssa
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to everything I've survived — the 67 surgeries, the moments I tried to end my own life, and the choice, every time, to keep living. I grew up with sexual and physical abuse and attempted suicide three times when I was young, but I made a conscious decision to hold onto a positive mindset. I've always looked for the other side of hardship, and I keep moving forward by using my own story as fuel, because I believe those experiences matter.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The first thing I tell young women starting out is to live by one simple framework: Do It, Delegate It, or Delete It. If someone else can do a task better than you, hand it off. If something is draining your energy, cut it loose. I also encourage them to ask for help the moment they're unsure of something — reaching out isn't a weakness, it's an act of courage. In my own teaching, I bring these ideas to life through multi-sensory methods, using words and chakra-based concepts to make them easier to grasp.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me every day are paying it forward and being part of a larger ripple effect. I try to actively learn, play, and grow each day, and I approach my work through creative, conscious co-creation with others. Conscious business collaboration matters deeply to me, as does communicating with both compassion and passion. At the center of it all are love, peace, and gratitude, along with a belief that teamwork is what truly makes the dream work.
