01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My greatest piece of advice has been learning how to take criticism and rejection, dealing with rejection when I pitch an idea or pitch a project. I think that's one of the biggest things in any field, is learning how to maneuver through obstacles and pushback when you're trying to grow.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I think it's just being open to learning anything. Being in marketing in general, you kind of have to wear different hats and then sign up for different roles that you weren't expecting. But I think that's the beauty about growing, is you kind of take with you a little bit of everything and it kind of makes you that much more valuable, not just to the company, but to any position that you take on in the future.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In marketing, I would say there is such a rise in social media. So that has opened so many doors, and that's something that anybody freshly out of college, or anyone looking to get into the field should look for is opportunities or internships in that field specifically, but marketing as a whole is just growing not just digitally, but also physically.
