Carmen Sneed
Carmen Sneed is a dedicated and results-driven education professional, currently serving as the NEXT Level Pathways Advisor at the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative. With extensive experience advising high school students, she focuses on supporting their academic growth and personal development while helping them navigate post-secondary opportunities. Carmen is skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the full Microsoft Office Suite, and she brings experience in sales and client relations to her educational work.
Carmen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Kentucky State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University. Her commitment to education and community engagement is further reflected in her leadership role as Vice President of the Kentucky State University National Alumni Association (KSUNAA) Cincinnati Chapter, where she actively contributes to alumni outreach and community initiatives.
Over the years, Carmen has held various teaching and advisory roles, including positions as an Academic Advisor at Dohn Community High School, a 4th Grade ELA Teacher at Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy, and an ESL Teacher at Taixing Zhenyu International Language School. Her passion for mental health advocacy, student success, and equitable educational opportunities drives her work, making her a strong mentor and advocate for young people in her community.

I attribute my success to determination, which has driven me to stay focused and overcome challenges along the way.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to do what you love and do it for yourself—never let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something, because you are in charge of your own life.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are family, especially being a mom to my twins, cultivating friendships through shared experiences like traveling and enjoying food, and pursuing personal passions such as playing the drums.
