About Carol
Carol Davis is the owner of Carol Davis Mosaics, a business she has operated since 2014 creating original mosaic art commissions based on nature and photographs she has taken. She founded the workshop I'm a Girl What's Your Superpower right before the COVID pandemic to empower pre-teen girls through creativity, confidence-building, and mentorship. In addition to her artistic practice, Carol volunteers with 826LA where she helps underserved high school seniors write their college essays. Her achievements include being featured in What Women Create magazine, receiving an award for best two-dimensional art at the Beverly Hills art fair, and multiple acceptances to The Other Arts show. Carol advises young women entering the arts to listen to internal voices of doubt but ultimately thank them and proceed with their passion because it is good for the world.

Ten minutes with Carol
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
There are so many voices saying why are you doing this, who do you think you are. I like to pretend those voices are trying to protect me a little bit. Listen to those voices and then just ignore them or thank them. Thanks for your advice but no thanks, I'm doing this anyway because I love it and it's good for the world.
