As the founder of Gader Family Wellness in Bradenton, Florida, she specializes in holistic health, natural nutrition, and client-centered wellness coaching. Carol combines intuitive practices such as dowsing with evidence-based strategies to guide people in reclaiming balance, vitality, and confidence, while also offering tools to support financial wellness. A Certified Reiki Master and Aromatherapist, she emphasizes the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit in her practice. Carol’s journey into wellness began after a successful career as an educator, where she witnessed the impact of stress and lifestyle on health. She transitioned into the wellness field, building a referral-based practice rooted in trust, education, and personal experience. Over the decades, she has helped clients address chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, blood sugar imbalances, and emotional stress. Through her innovative programs, she empowers individuals to take proactive steps toward long-term health and personal growth, focusing on sustainable habits and holistic solutions rather than quick fixes. In addition to her counseling work, Carol is a prolific author, educator, and community leader. She has written books, produced training DVDs on dowsing, and leads workshops and online courses to teach others how to apply intuitive practices for wellness. She serves as President of the Manasota Dowsers Chapter and has held executive roles with the National Association of Dowsers and philanthropic organizations like PEO. PEO, Philanthropic Education Organization, provides loans, grants and scholarship for women. We also own our own college, Cotty College, in Missouri. Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to listening deeply, educating with integrity, and leading through personal experience. With over 45 years in the nutrition and wellness field, I blend natural health expertise with intuitive practices to help individuals make informed, personalized choices for their well-being. My approach is grounded in the belief that credibility comes from walking the journey myself, understanding clients’ concerns, and empowering people to make lasting changes rather than offering quick fixes. My professional journey began after leaving teaching due to health challenges, and it has evolved into a long-standing, referral-based practice built on trust, education, and results. I specialize in nutrition and wellness education, natural health coaching, dowsing instruction, holistic decision-making, and client-centered wellness guidance. One of the most meaningful aspects of my work has been supporting individuals with chronic conditions—such as Fibromyalgia, Lyme's disease, arthritis, blood sugar imbalances, menopause and emotional stress—helping them reclaim mobility, confidence, and joy after years of feeling unheard or stuck. Although I am semi-retired, I continue to operate two active businesses. My current focus includes teaching dowsing through online courses and workshops, leading a Facebook community called Ageless Vitality by Carol, developing programs centered on blood sugar balance and weight management, and preparing for upcoming speaking engagements on wellness and intuitive health practices. I am passionate about sharing the tools and knowledge that empower people to live healthier, more balanced lives.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentors—educators, intuitive practitioners, and wellness leaders—who taught me the importance of trusting my intuition, honoring my personal experiences, and staying committed to lifelong learning. I also credit my husband’s unwavering support as instrumental in helping me navigate challenges and continue growing throughout my journey.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to trust your intuition, stay curious, and build your work on authenticity rather than chasing trends. True success comes from consistency, continual learning, and genuinely caring about the people you serve.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is helping people shift away from symptom-focused thinking and embrace a root-cause approach to wellness. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities in digital education, intuitive health practices, and community-based learning, particularly as more individuals seek personalized, holistic approaches to their health.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide my work and personal life are trust, integrity, education, and service. I am committed to empowering people with knowledge, honoring the body’s natural ability to heal when properly supported, and maintaining ethical, environmentally responsible practices in all that I do.

I have a deep passion for dowsing, which I incorporate into everyday life—from health and cooking decisions to choosing furniture—and I love sharing this practice with others through teaching, writing, and community engagement, including my book Dowsing Your Health. Personally, I enjoy Florida’s beaches and embracing a slower, more intentional lifestyle within my continuing care community.
