About Carolina
Carolina Kramer is a data and quality systems professional with approximately four years of experience in the medical technology and biotechnology industries. She currently serves as a Change Analyst in Configuration Assurance at Medtronic, where she supports change control and change management initiatives, collaborates with engineering teams on documentation updates, and helps ensure quality system compliance. Since stepping into her current role eight months ago, she has distinguished herself by developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards that improve visibility into key processes and support more informed decision-making across the organization. Carolina earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber Operations: Defense & Forensics from the University of Arizona in 2023, with coursework emphasizing data analysis and information systems. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics with a Big Data concentration at Arizona State University, with an expected graduation in 2026. Her academic foundation, combined with hands-on experience in data management, business intelligence, and quality systems, has strengthened her ability to transform complex data into actionable insights that enhance operational performance. Committed to continuous learning and professional growth, Carolina is an active member of Women in Data, where she engages in networking and professional development opportunities within the analytics community. She also volunteers as the Power BI lead for an internal Medtronic project, helping consolidate multiple data sources into unified dashboards that improve reporting and collaboration. Recognized for her analytical mindset, initiative, and dedication to excellence, Carolina is focused on leveraging data and business analytics to drive innovation and meaningful improvements in the healthcare technology industry.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the strong work ethic I learned from my father, my passion for data and business analytics, and my ambition to continuously improve and become the best version of myself every day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to always say yes to new opportunities and never turn down work that will help me learn, grow, and expand my skills.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be intimidated—you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Seek out opportunities to work on projects that genuinely interest you, and don't be afraid to fail. Every challenge is a chance to learn, grow, and build confidence.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is keeping up with the growing number of tools and technologies available. While these tools create exciting opportunities, it can be difficult to develop deep expertise across all of them, making continuous learning essential.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are being part of a supportive team that believes in and challenges one another. I’m also highly goal-driven and ambitious, always striving to achieve meaningful results while continuously growing both personally and professionally.
