Her Story

About Carolina

Carolina Wieman is a government affairs and advocacy professional dedicated to advancing public policy, civic engagement, and community development. Currently serving as Deputy Campaign Manager for the House Democratic Campaign Committee, she leads campaign strategy, grassroots organizing, and coalition-building efforts throughout the Philadelphia region. With a strong background in government affairs and public advocacy, Carolina has developed expertise in strategic planning, voter engagement, fundraising, and community outreach, working alongside elected officials, nonprofit organizations, and civic leaders to strengthen local communities.

Carolina's passion for advocacy began during her time at St. Mary's University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. As a student leader and researcher, she championed sustainability initiatives, helped establish a community garden, secured grant funding for environmental programs, and contributed to projects involving the Edwards Aquifer, census data collection, public parks, and environmental justice research. She has since expanded her advocacy to include international and community-focused initiatives, supporting the United Nations, women's rights, pregnancy care in developing countries, and programs that promote the growth of Hispanic-owned businesses in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Carolina is an active member of the United Nations Association of the United States of America, the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, WICT Philadelphia, and the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia. She also volunteers with local shelters and community service organizations, reflecting her lifelong commitment to making a meaningful difference. Inspired by the example of her mother, Carolina credits her success to perseverance, service, and the belief that meaningful change begins with the courage to step forward and advocate for others.

Ten minutes with Carolina

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes from my mom as a strong role model who always encouraged me to get up, dust it off, and know that I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. She never gave me doubt and pushed me to keep going even when I wanted to give up.
