About Caroline

Caroline Cronin serves as AWS Partnership Manager at Orion Innovation, a systems integrator, where she oversees the company's relationship with Amazon Web Services. In this role, she focuses on building relationships with AWS contacts as well as collaborating with internal sellers and marketing teams. With five years of experience in professional services and a little over two years at Orion Innovation, her main areas of expertise include relationship building and pipeline management. She holds several AWS certifications and is involved with SheCan, a network of women in the AWS field. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Cronin transitioned into the field from a prior career in medicine after COVID prompted a change, encouraged by a close friend who helped create a position for her. She attributes her success to her passion for the work, inspired by her father's advice to find a job one loves. Cronin values transparency, honesty, and kindness in both her professional and personal life, and she is a dedicated animal lover and advocate. Among the career advice she shares is the importance of being one's own advocate while leading with kindness and compassion, and she encourages young women entering the field to speak up on calls without dimming their own light.

Ten minutes with Caroline

01What do you attribute your success to?

I feel that I'm good at what I do because I'm passionate. I also grew up with a father who told me every day to find a job that you're really passionate about, and you won't work a day in your life.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I've ever received is to be your own advocate. And also to lead with kindness and compassion.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell them to never be afraid to speak up on calls, and don't dim yourself, just to allow someone else to be brighter.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is partnering, and getting everyone to be on your side, including executives of your own company, as well as executives of your partner.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I really value transparency and honesty, in all facets of my life, as well as kindness. I'm a huge animal lover and advocate.
