About Caroline
Caroline Goodger serves as Client Operations Manager at Baker Tilly on the administrative side, overseeing client operations including delivery, assembly, and ensuring clients understand their tax returns through streamlined processes. She supports three offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Chicago, and Southfield, Michigan, by pulling reports for leaders and managing administrative staff to ensure timely tax return processing while adhering to IRS regulations. Goodger manages approximately five direct reports and supports around 20 staff members overall. She began her public accounting career at the end of 2019 or early 2020 after starting as a tax administrative assistant and advancing to Director of Operations at a previous firm that later closed. She joined Baker Tilly as a coordinator and was promoted shortly thereafter. Currently enrolled at Minnesota State University Moorhead, she is set to graduate in December with an administration degree, having originally studied music as an opera singer. Goodger attributes her professional success to her willingness to grow, adapt to new challenges, seek feedback, and pursue continuous learning, including following IRS regulations and gaining experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and administrative roles. In her personal life, family comes first, and she values time with her son and husband, while in her work she prioritizes growing with the firm through coaching, support, and learning from others to become a better leader.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute it to being somebody who's willing to grow, adapt, and take on new challenges. I love feedback and want to understand what I can do to be the best. I follow the IRS regulations for fun and have hands-on experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and administrative roles.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family comes first and foremost in my personal life. I value watching my son grow up and time with my husband. In work life, I value growing with the firm, being coached and supported, learning from others' expertise, and becoming a better leader.
