About Caroline
Caroline Olson is an accounting and non-profit professional with four years of experience managing finances for charitable organizations. She currently serves as Trustee of the JD Olson Memorial Foundation, where her responsibilities include reviewing financials, ensuring accurate record-keeping, reaching out to donors, and preparing for major fundraisers. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from UW-Stevens Point, from which she graduated cum laude in December 2025 after a double major, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration completed the following year with a perfect 4.0 GPA. During her undergraduate studies, she was active in both the accounting club and the finance club. Caroline attributes her professional drive to personal overcomings and a strong belief in her own capabilities, values that also inform her commitment to integrity in all aspects of her work.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My overcomings in life have really pushed me to be successful. My belief in myself has also pushed me pretty far. Experiencing my brother's passing put a shock on how precious life is and how short it can be, which helped me be successful.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never sell yourself short. You're capable of so much more than you ever think, even if it's hard now. You'll always impress yourself with what you can do.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Especially in accounting, which is stereotypically male-dominated, women are so capable of so much more. You can do anything, really. Accounting is a great field to get into. It's just taking that first step into it, and you can succeed so well.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities: Room to improve, raise money easily with social media, market to accounting firms due to job openings, accounting will always be needed. Challenges: Variable income in nonprofit making budgeting hard, being young and a woman means voice not always heard or taken seriously even with good ideas.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is my top value for both work and personal life. Being true to my work and myself has always been something that I pride myself in. Putting forward my best foot every day.
