Carolyn Brodeur

Carolyn Brodeur is Supervisor of Safety and Environmental at Joseph Abboud. She has 10 years of experience in the safety field and 6 to 8 years in environmental compliance. She advanced to her supervisory role 3 years ago after starting as a safety analyst at the facility. Previously, she worked in safety for Tesla Energy across the northeastern region covering solar, storage, and car dealerships, following the SolarCity merger. Her career began in site surveying at SolarCity, where she started as a surveyor measuring roofs and advanced to head site surveyor after achieving a perfect record of surveys for a full year. She earned her OSHA 30 certificate through green energy training and later obtained OSHA 510. She originally studied interior design at New England Tech in Warwick, Rhode Island. Brodeur attributes her success to her father who owned a lumber yard and built everything himself, and her mother who is creative and a Jill of all trades. She values integrity, doing the right thing, continuous learning, and adapting to change. Her advice to young women in the industry is to not let others bring them down, prove themselves despite the men's club atmosphere, and eventually gain acceptance.
