Her Story
About Carolyn
My background is working with high school students as an educator. I earned a doctorate from Columbia University and did adjunct work. I started my own college consulting practice while raising children, focusing on test prep and admissions guidance. Now it's full-time, and I also work half-time as a school college counselor, helping students with lists, applications, interviews, waitlists, and decisions.

Ten minutes with Carolyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm very good at what I do. People always ask for my what colleges my students get into, and that kind of sells me. I really get to know students deeply when they're writing personal statements, almost like a ministry, to help match them to good colleges.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Dream bigger. Always expand what you're thinking. Someone told me to get a website instead of just word of mouth and business cards, which increased my visibility and success.
