Her Interview
Ten minutes with Carolyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
Support from women and mentorship. I keep 3 to 5 mentors around me at all times, including one helping with social media and online presence. Mentorship is something I firmly believe we all need way more of.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be your authentic self. That's what matters in the world. Be yourself, because everybody else is taken, and people will fall in love with your authentic self.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Did the Chicago Marathon, and you have a lot of support out there. Theres a lot… theres, I think, usually about a million people out there cheering you on.
Aerobics and things like that, those are my hobbies, but I really do love running. Ive ran since high school, so that is definitely a hobby. Yeah, I cant think of any, you know, anything else, but because Im getting older, Im starting to do some weights and free weights and things like that because you know when you get older you need to do that
And then just, you know, making sure my diet is where it needs to be as well when you get older. So… but I'm pretty active when it comes to walking and running, I would say. Try to do that 3-4 times a week
