Ten minutes with Carolyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God and being who I am. Without God I am nothing and I put Him first in everything.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
From the time I was in school everyone was telling me I should be a model because of the way I carry myself and clothing-wise. My yearbook even featured me as wanting to be a runway model and that's exactly what I have done.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be mindful of the things that you incur and do. First you gotta really worship and survive. Secondly be respectful made and dignified in your life. Give and walk so much in love. Respect yourself first. Don't let anyone tell you what you cannot do or accomplish and make sure you do it at any age.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Age is a big factor and challenge in the modeling industry. Sometimes they look at the number and say they don't use models this age but age should not play a factor in what you can accomplish on the runway.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Serving God and putting Him first in everything that I do because without Him I'm nothing.
